This corporation is established as a nonprofit association dedicated to serving the alumni of Scott’s Branch High (SBH), located in Summerton, South Carolina, within Clarendon County.

 

To preserve and strengthen the historical bonds among alumni; to uphold and perpetuate the traditions and customs of the institution; and to encourage individual excellence while supporting an educational environment that fosters continued academic achievement among current students of our alma mater.

 

To foster fellowship and engagement among members through social events such as dances, dinners, musical performances, and other forms of entertainment and cultural activities.

           

To collect admission fees or other payments in connection with events or activities.

 

To promote loyalty, support, and unity among all Scott’s Branch High School graduates.

 

To bring together SBH graduates to engage in meaningful efforts that benefit both themselves and others.

           

To create and manage a scholarship fund for deserving students, and students with financial need.

      

To support the formation of alumni associations and chapters wherever SBH graduates reside.

 

To plan and conduct community projects that assist deserving and underprivileged students at SBH.

        

To conduct fundraising efforts to support scholarships, and other approved community initiatives that benefit the students of SBHS.
